TARGET AUDIENCE

Senior residents and recent graduates preparing for Board Certification or other physicians preparing for re-certification within the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Additionally, any healthcare professional seeking to update their knowledge of PM&R.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This innovative and interactive course is a comprehensive review for physicians preparing for ABPM&R Part 1 or 2 Board Certification or re-certification examinations. The course has been designed to maximize virtual learning by providing content in a variety of formats. The curriculum is divided into modules taught by University of Washington and guest faculty with content expertise, and will include pre-recorded lectures that can be viewed on demand with live interactive cases and panel discussions. Live sessions will allow learners to engage with the experts with ample opportunity to ask questions. We are also offering an optional oral mock board session that is consistently rated as one of the most highly useful and enjoyable sessions.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

• Establish proficiency in the evaluation and diagnosis of common rehabilitation problems, patient management, common equipment and assistive technology, and applied sciences.

• Review common neurologic disorders, musculoskeletal medicine amputation, medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation problems and outcomes, as well as basic sciences.

• Describe new developments in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation
