The 18TH Annual New Orleans Summer Cancer Meeting (NOSCM) is the largest continuing medical education (CE) event in the US Southeast region. It is a 3-day national CE, nursing education (CE), pharmacist and physician assistant meeting designed for medical oncologists, hematologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physician assistants, residents and fellows in Hematology/Oncology as well as other healthcare professionals involved in the management of cancer patients. The 18th Annual NOSCM will have a long list of experts in the field of malignant diseases; guest faculty will discuss important topics in the management of cancer patients not only novel therapies such as immunotherapy, targeted agents and cytotoxic agents but also management of side effects, survivorship, palliative care, liquid biopsy, and biosimilars in oncology.

The meeting will have deep discussions on immunotherapy for different tumor types. Immunotherapy has improved overall survival of many tumor types; how to improve these outcomes and how to deal with immunotherapy resistance will be discussed during this educational activity. Based on evaluations from the previous 16 consecutive years, this meeting will offer healthcare professionals with the necessary tools and clinical knowledge to provide the best quality of care to their patients.

The 18th edition of this national CE program will focus on integrating major advances in basic sciences and how to apply them into the routine clinical practice, and hence, deliver precision medicine to each individual patient. Using platforms such as DNA and RNA next generation sequencing, now we can detect DNA genomic abnormalities as well as fusion proteins with RNA analysis. The length of the NOSCM allows plenty of time for the audience to engage in discussion of different topics in medical oncology and hematology. It is very important that audience share their thoughts with national and international thought leaders in the fields of liquid and solid cancers. We are honored to have guest faculty represented by expert clinicians and researchers from premier cancer centers in the United States.
